With this tour you will literally follow in the footsteps of the Gladiators – you can’t ask for a more authentic experience of Ancient Rome!

Of course you will enjoy all the usual benefits of our small group tour. Your group will be a maximum of 24 participants and you will be accompanied by an enthusiastic and friendly licensed guide. Here you will enter through a very special reserved access point. Stop for a second to take at the moment as you enter the Colosseum through the very same entrance the Gladiators used over 2000s years ago before their lethal combats. You will be able to feel the anticipation and imagine the roar of the crowd as you step out onto the reconstructed arena stage of the Colosseum.

The Colosseum’s arena is a restricted area of the Colosseum, usually out of bounds to the general public. What’s more, from here you will be able to enjoy unrivaled views over the dungeons of the Colosseum, where lions and other ferocious and exotic beasts were once stored!

Your Colosseum arena small group tour will continue to the first and second levels of the Colosseum where your guide will continue to fascinate you with anecdotes of the Colosseum and Ancient Rome. Next, you will visit the Palatine Hill, where the Emperors once built their houses. It’s a bit of a climb up but well worth it to get a real feel of Imperial Rome and also enjoy a stunning view over Circus Maximus!

Finally, you will go to the Roman Forum. The hub of Ancient Rome, it is here that you will feel at one with everyday Romans. As you stumble across marketplaces and temples your guide will transport you back to Ancient Rome as they explain to you how the Roman’s worshipped, what they ate and what they got up to in their free time!
