During the tour your guide will show your kids the sculpture group of the Laocoon, the Apollo of Belvedere and will even show you inside the Egyptian Museum: pop your head in to see real mummies, sarcophagi, canopic jars and statues! A favourite with children is also the huge bathtub of Emperor Nero, made with precious and hard to cut red porphyry, which will be the perfect chance for the guide to talk a little about Roman civilization. Also unmissable in any tour for kids in the Vatican are the galleries of the Candelabra and of the Tapestries, as well as the Gallery of the Maps, which contains detailed, frescoed maps of all Italy’s regions.
