Does your family have just one day in Rome and you don’t want to miss out on any must-sees? Are you worried about tailoring your visit of the Colosseum and Vatican for kids, to keep them engaged for the whole day? You and your children will hit the must-sees of Rome and you will be accompanied by a child-friendly private guide.
We have designed this action-packed tour for all the families who want to visit Rome in one day, but want their children to have fun as well. The visit has been designed to cover the Colosseum and Vatican for kids, in a way that is engaging and interactive for the whole family. Your Rome and Vatican in a day for kids tour will begin with a visit to the Colosseum inside. Your kids will be buzzing with excitement to enter this iconic monument, so loved by children and adults alike. Your private guide will tell your family all about the life and combats of the gladiators in the Colosseum. This visit will be particularly fun for your children, because it will be like walking in the footsteps of the Gladiators.
After the Colosseum, you will walk with your private guide as you continue your Rome in a day for kids tour and you will hit other major attractions, like Spanish Steps, Navona Square, Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon. Don’t forget to ask your guide to stop at a local ice-cream shop to taste a real Italian ice-cream! The perfect excuse to have a fun pause for the whole family!
Afterwards, with your private guide you will take a taxi to reach the Vatican. If you prefer instead of a walking tour we can add a private driver with minivan to save on the tired legs of your little ones!
Once you have arrived at the Vatican you will again enter the Vatican Museums straight away, with pre-booked access. You will visit the Vatican Museums, following a child-friendly itinerary with stops at the main points of interest for kids, such as the Laocoon, the Egyptian Museum with a real mummy and the huge bathtub of Nero. You will have the chance to admire the stunning Sistine Chapel’s ceiling and the Last Judgement by Michelangelo. Our family-oriented private guide will use the I-pad during the tour to entertain your children and to explain the treasures of the Vatican in a way that is relatable for them.
