Our Florence Tour for Families is one of our bestselling kids tours in all of Italy. In just 3 hours you and your children will be able to hit the most important sights, including skip the line entrance to the Academy Museums, while having fun with our child-oriented guide: a day you will never forget!
Our Florence Tour for Families will start with your child-friendly private guide at the famous Academy Museum, where beautiful statues are preserved- the most famous of which is the imposing David by Michelangelo. You will learn the artist’s sculpting techniques from your enthusiastic guide. You will have the opportunity to see many plasters that will give your kids the idea of what artists have to do before producing a final work of art. In the Academy Museum you can also see a great collection of musical instruments, which your kids are sure to love. Your tour will continue to the great Duomo (outside - if there is no line you can choose to visit inside), the cathedral's many mysteries and stories are waiting to be discovered. From the religious center you will go to the political square called Signoria Square where the majestic “Palazzo Vecchio” is located. At Signoria Square you will also admire beautiful statues dating back to the Renaissance. Your kids will love learning all about the Renaissance with a kids tour in Florence!
Our private guide will also accompany you to the Straw Market and to the Old Bridge (Ponte Vecchio) built 700 years ago! During your Florence tour for Families with your guide you will learn all about medieval Florence with its history, culture and traditions. One such medieval/renaissance practice is the art of handmade paper-making. On request we will be delighted to organize a private family hand marbled paper class where parents and kids will learn this ancient tradition from the 17th century from a Tuscan “Master”. It will be the perfect way to top off your Florence tour for kids.
